About APSPDCL

AP Power Sector Reforms envisage creation of Distribution Companies as Government Undertakings for the first few years and privatization later on. The Andhra Pradesh Gazette No.37 published by the Government of Andhra Pradesh on Friday the 31st of March 2000 declared formally formation of Distribution Companies. In this process, Andhra Pradesh Southern Electricity Distribution Company was formed for the following six districts of Andhra Pradesh. The Corporate Office and Headquarters of APSPDCL is at Tirupati City

Quality power at economic rates acts a catalyst in transforming the state by fostering growth in agricultural, industrial and commercial areas while meeting the increasing domestic demand. On Feb 1, 1999, Government of Andhra Pradesh initiated the first phase of reforms and restructuring in AP’s power sector by unbundling APSEB into APGENCO and APTRANSCO to cater to Generation and Transmission & Distribution respectively. APTRANSCO was further reorganized into four distribution companies to cater to the needs to the different districts of AP.

APSPDCL was formed in April 1, 2000 to serve Krishna, Guntur, Prakasam, Nellore, Chittoor and Kadapa districts with a vision to ‘become an efficient utility supplying reliable and quality power, promoting economic development and being self-reliant commercially’.

As on 31st March 04, SPDCL has a robust distribution network to cater to customers spread across 81331 sq. Km representing 326 mandals, 6177 villages and 86 assembly constituencies

Lower Division Clerks (LDC)

No. of Vacancies: 23 posts
Pay Scale: 10520-325-12145-400-14145-485-16570-590-19520
Age: Not below 18 years not more than 34 years as on 30.11 .2010. Relaxation in upper age limits upto 5 years for SC/ST candidates.
Qualification: Must hold the degree of B.A, B.Sc, or B.Com of any university in India established or incorporated by or under a central act, provincial act, or a State Act or any equivalent qualification. Must have passed Certificate Course in Computer Application/Office Automation (MS-Office) offered by the institutions recognised by the Government of Andhra Pradesh. The qualification acquired through Distance Mode will be considered as per S.O.O (CGM-HRD) Ms.No. 105, Dt. 15.09.2008.

Selection Procedure:

The eligible candidates will be required to appear for a written examination only at Tirupati centre. The following are the minimum qualifying marks in the written test for SC/ST – 30% or as per Rules and other terms of Presidential Order. Selection will be made 100% based on merit in written examination and after verification of certificates. The merit candidates community wise will be called for verification of certificates in 1:2 ratio.

About PGIMER Chandigarh

The PGIMER owes its inception to the vision of late Sardar Partap Singh Kairon, the then Chief Minister of Punjab and the distinguished medical educationists of the then combined state of Punjab, supported by the first Prime Minister of India Pt.
